For best results, place your dehumidifier in a central location within the house or near the problem area. Yes. While a dehumidifier won’t fix structural problems, it plays an important role in preventive care by removing excess moisture and reducing the conditions that allow mould to return. For ongoing issues, a 20–25L capacity with a high fan speed is often best to keep humidity under control, protect your home and belongings before problems develop further. Once the humidity level has been reduced after the first few weeks, the unit may only need to switch on for a couple of hours a day to maintain healthy conditions.

Only if needed. Most Meaco models use smart humidity sensors to operate efficiently. You can set your ideal humidity (typically 45–55%) and let the unit manage itself. In most homes, once the air has stabilised, the dehumidifier will only need to run for a few hours a day. For laundry, it’s possible for a Dehumidifier to usually dry clothes within a single day, not over several.
