Our 100% waste-free repair shop closes the loop on the product lifecycle, which has earned us a recognised certification badge that reflects our commitment.
Irreparable products are carefully dismantled and recycled; other recyclable materials are collected for reuse in new products; uncrecyclable materials are converted to special fuels; and any further environmental impact is offset through initiatives like tree planting.

In 2019, we removed the standard plastic drainage hose from our dehumidifiers after discovering that most customers never used it. What seemed like a small change had a significant impact, saving 75,000 metres of plastic tubing in the first year alone and 130,000 metres the following year.
Taking into account all the Arete®s sold over the years, if all the plastic hoses were laid out in a line, it would have reached from London to Pisa.
It's a clear example of how thoughtful design decisions can deliver meaningful environmental benefits.
We're committed to designing products that use less energy without compromising on performance.
As market leaders in energy efficiency, we continue to push the boundaries of innovation to help reduce both energy consumption and running costs.
We're also transparent about what our products cost to run, with estimated running costs clearly displayed on every product page.
Many of our fans cost less than 1p per hour to operate, helping our customers reduce their energy use, lower their bills and lessen their environmental impact.
We're working towards packaging that is fully recyclable and responsibly sourced. Across our range, plastic bags and polystyrene are being replaced with FSC-certified paper-based and cardboard alternatives, while selected products already use exclusively paper internal packaging.
It's all part of our commitment to reducing waste without compromising product protection.
