You cannot use a domestic dehumidifier in a swimming pool hall

Swimming pool dehumidifiers are essential if you are lucky enough to have an indoor pool in the UK because the moisture from the pool will have a devastating effect on the internal structure causing mould to grow wherever there are cold patches and paint to peel away from the walls.  Windows will be covered in condensation and the room air will be more expensive to heat.  Having invested a not inconsiderable sum in building the pool hall in the first place it seems a shame to let it all go to ruin for the sake of a couple of thousand pounds for a specialist swimming pool dehumidifier to protect your investment.

You have to use a specialist dehumidifier and you cannot cut corners and use either a domestic or a commercial dehumidifier because they will not be safe and they will not last long in a pool hall.  Normal dehumidifiers do not have low voltage controls to provide electrical safety in the wet environment, most pool dehumidifiers will be wall mounted to comply with electrical safety regulations and not many domestic or commercial dehumidifiers can be wall mounted and finally swimming pool dehumidifiers have specially coated coils to protect them from the chemicals that are to be found in the air within a swimming pool room.

Swimming pool customers often have particular requirements as well as the wall mounting.  They might be looking for a connection to their gas boiler so that they can heat as well as dry the air, they might want to hide the dehumidifier in the plant room and duct the air in and out of the room or they might be looking to duct the dry air into the room through a series of floor grills.

Dehumidifiers that have been designed for use in the pool environment can cope with the chemicals in the air, can be wall mounted, can be ducted through the wall or floor grills and most importantly are electrically safe for use in a swimming pool environment and meet all of the relevant regulations.
