We have been selling into Norway for several years now, to start off with we sold direct to end users and shipped the dehumidifiers across individually via courier.  Then one day a boat owner put us in touch with a friend of his who he thought might be able to help us distribute the dehumidifiers into the boating sector.  Initially Jarle Karlsrud bought a few desiccant dehumidifiers to test and found that not only did he like them but they were also easy to sell.  Fast forward a few years and Norway is one of our most important export markets and Fishtail AS (the name of Jarle’s company) is selling thousands of dehumidifiers to consumers throughout Norway from their base in Sandefjord south west of Oslo.

Applications and air temperatures in Norway can be very hard on dehumidifiers and this is where the Meaco DD8L range has impressed with its dehumidification remaining consistent at low temperatures while its failure rate has remained low despite the temperatures often plummeting far below freezing.

Although Fishtail and Jarle are still strong in the boating sector they have numerous resellers now selling the Meaco dehumidifiers to the domestic home market and other hobby sectors like classic car collector and caravan owners.  The full list of local resellers in Norway can be found here – http://meaco.no/forhandler-meaco/

As Fishtail have grown so has their area of responsibility for Meaco with their distribution now reaching into Sweden and Denmark.

If you are interested to learn more then please visit the Meaco websites for the region, www.meaco.no, www.meaco.dk and www.meaco.se or contact Jarle directly via thule (@)fishtail.no.  Below is a short video in English where Jarle introduces himself and talks about the benefits of the Meaco DD8L and how to use it.
