Humidifiers are used to increase the amount of moisture in the air to help stop ourselves from feeling the side effects of dry air. This would include dry skin, chapped lips, itchy eyes and those electric shocks that you get when you touch something metallic.
Although we suffer from cold, damp winters people often turn their heating up so high that they find that the air in the house becomes very dry and they need a humidifier to counter act the drying out effect of the warm air.
Humidifiers are also popular in springtime when the heating has maybe gone off but the air outside is dry as our summers tend to be more humid and the air in spring can often be very dry. If you find yourself regularly reaching for the moisturising cream then a humidifier would be beneficial.
You often read in the press that models use humidifiers to help keep their skin looking fresh and young, actors and singers use them to help keep their throats in good order and many people use humidifiers to protect furniture, especially wooden pieces and books, from cracking.
The MeacoMist Standard is our entry level humidifier which is very popular in children’s bedrooms to help them sleep better at night (and in turn the parents sleep better!) as the humidifier can help with nasal congestion.
This new video takes you inside the humidifier so you can see how it works and understand everything about an ultrasonic humidifier before you decide which model is best for you.
