The Mitsubishi Electric range have
always been popular with museums and the current MJE16V
and MJE16VX remain so. The MJE16VX
is the better machine for museums because of its variable electronic
humidistat, digital readout and child lock. The Mitsubishi's also have
the advantage of hot gas defrost for unheated stores.
The X-Dry
is a desiccant dehumidifier that can control artefact stores and galleries
equally effectively. It's electronic humidistat is set to control to
between 55%rh and 60%rh, whilst it's more aggressive modes are useful after a
flood as they will extract 10 litres of moisture per day.
