Why choose the
Mitsubishi Electric
range of dehumidifiers?

For better health

You probably know that many asthma attacks are triggered by inhaling the  microscopic droppings of dust mites. What is not so widely known is that dust  mites only survive in a damp atmosphere, with levels of humidity of 60% and  more. So, use your Mitsubishi dehumidifier to remove the damp, and you wipe out  the dust mites too. A real boon for asthma sufferers.

The built-in antibacterial filter cleans the air, removing house dust,  pollen, smoke and odours, as well as minimizing the spread of airborne viruses  and growth mould.

Lights to indicate that humidity has reached 75%rh or over - conditions that  warn of increased house-mite activity and mould growth

Cut heating costs

Many homes have rooms that are used only infrequently - a spare bedroom for example. You can slash energy costs by turning off the heating and periodically using the dehumidifier to keep the room dry, comfortable and ready for use whenever you want it.

A Mitsubishi Electric dehumidifier can find a place in every home, even the garage. Its perfect combination of compact size, lightweight, carry handle and high performance also makes it ideal for mobile homes, caravans and boats.

Mitsubishi Electric's high performance dehumidifiers work by removing excess moisture from the air, to overcome dampness and condensation which causes problems like unsightly damage to interior decor, rotten window sills and mould.   It also features a special 'Laundry Mode' - providing an economical and convenient alternative to tumble drying.

  • Collect up to 16 litres of moisture in a 24 hour period
  • A single unit will dehumidify up to a typical five bedroom home
  • Compact, unobtrusive and quiet in operation
  • Low energy consumption - just 280W
  • Environmentally friendly

The portable solution

Take a look at the Mitsubishi Electric MJ series portable dehumidifiers and loved how easily they moved from room to room, yet they are among the most powerful units on the market, making them ideal for use in any home.
They work by drawing in damp air, condensing and trapping the moisture it contains, then expelling the air at a slightly raised temperature. An audible signal, as well as a flashing lamp, alerts you when the tank is full, while a convenient timer lets you set the dehumidifier to switch off after a specified period.

Performance is outstanding. The Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E16V  and VX can extract 9 litres of water per day at 27C/60% relative humidity. What's more, this is accomplished at very low sound levels, and with minimum involvement by the owner.

But there's much more to be gained from a Mitsubishi Electric dehumidifier than a damp free environment. The MJ-E16V and VX have an extra-high or 'Laundry' setting. This means you can use your Mitsubishi Electric dehumidifier to successfully dry delicate items that cannot be dried in a tumble drier. In fact, the unit can extract 1.5Kg of water from 3Kg of clothes in two hours at a cost of under 4p. That's less than 20% of the cost of using a tumble dryer.
